Bible Trivia Live

Live Bible Trivia Game for Church Events

A trivia game gives a church social something everyone can do together: newcomers and longtime members, grandparents and teenagers, all at the same time. With Bible Trivia Live, one person hosts from a phone or laptop. The questions appear on the fellowship hall screen, and everyone answers from their own phone. It's free, and nobody needs an account.

Setting up in the fellowship hall

Start the game from the device you'll keep with you. Only the device that created the game can start, pause, skip or end it. In the host lobby, tap Open big screen and show that page on your projector or TV, or open the same link on a laptop connected to it.

The big screen shows the PIN and QR code while people join. During the game it shows each question with a countdown, then the correct answer and its Bible verse, then the leaderboard. Each question runs on its own schedule: 15 seconds to answer, 7 seconds for the answer, 7 seconds for the leaderboard. The host doesn't need to tap anything between questions. If a prayer request or announcement comes up, tap Pause, then Resume when you're ready.

Ideas for ministries and events

  • Men's or women's ministry night: pick a theme that fits your evening, such as Leadership, Marriage & Relationships, or Money & Work.
  • Welcome or newcomer events: use All Easy so first-time guests can join in without feeling put on the spot.
  • All-church socials: Mixed (Standard) gives everyone a fair shot. The Bible reference shown after each answer gives people something to talk about afterward.

Running several rounds

Each game is 10 questions and takes about five minutes. When it ends, tap Play Again for a new game with a new PIN and scores reset to zero. Many groups play two or three rounds and change the category or difficulty each time. For example, play an Old Testament round, then a New Testament round, then a final round on All Difficult. People who arrive late can join between questions and start at zero. If someone needs to leave, the host can remove them from the game.

Set it up in 3 steps

  1. On the home page, tap Group Game, then choose a category, difficulty or theme, and tap Create Game.
  2. Tap Open big screen and show it on the projector. Guests scan the QR code or type the PIN.
  3. When the names are in, tap Start Game.
