Bible Trivia for Men's Groups
A men's breakfast or evening meeting runs better with something to get the conversation going. Bible Trivia Live gives your group ten quick questions on the big screen, a little friendly competition, and plenty to talk about afterwards. It's free, and every man plays from his own phone.
Where it fits in a meeting
Most men's groups have a rhythm: coffee, food, a talk or study, prayer. A game works best as the bridge between eating and the main teaching. People are still finishing breakfast, the room is loose, and ten questions take about ten minutes. By the end everyone's awake, a few people are laughing at their own answers, and the speaker has a room that's already paying attention.
If your group meets in the evening, try it at the end instead, as a lighter way to close before prayer.
Keep the competition relaxed
A little friendly competition keeps a room engaged. The scoring rewards fast answers, so the standings after each question move around. It keeps everyone interested without anyone feeling singled out. A few easy habits help:
- Read the standings out loud with some good humor, but don't dwell on whoever is last.
- Let the winner pick the theme for next time.
- If the same person wins every week, switch to All Difficult and see who keeps up.
Talk through the ones you missed
The best moment is often the question half the room got wrong. When the answer appears, pause before moving on. Ask who knows where that comes from, or have someone look up the passage. A two-minute detour into why David's mighty men mattered, or what Proverbs actually says about money, is often worth more than the score. The host's phone controls when the next question starts, so you set the pace.
Fitting it into 30 to 45 minutes
For a full meeting built around the game: welcome and food (10 minutes), one game (10 minutes), talk through the two or three most interesting misses (10 minutes), then a short devotional and prayer. If time is tight, skip the discussion and play a single round as an opener.
Set it up in 3 steps
- Before the meeting, open the site on your phone and choose your category, difficulty and, if you like, a theme.
- Put the big screen on a TV or projector and read the PIN out loud as the men arrive.
- When everyone's name is on the screen, start the game from your phone.
