Bible Trivia Live

Bible Trivia for Youth Groups

Teenagers already have their phones in their hands. Bible Trivia Live puts those phones to work. Every student joins the game from their own phone, answers against a 15-second clock, and sees where they stand on the leaderboard after every question. There's no app to install and no account to make, so you can go from “grab your phones” to the first question in about a minute.

Why it works with teens

Speed matters. A correct answer on the first try earns full points plus a speed bonus, so the fastest thinkers climb the leaderboard. Everyone gets a second try at about half points, so students who know the material but hesitate still score. The leaderboard after each question keeps the room loud. Tied players share a place, so nobody loses a tie to a technicality. A full game is 10 questions and takes about five minutes, short enough to play more than once in a night.

Friendly rivalry

Every student plays on their own phone, so every student has a name on the leaderboard. You can add some rivalry of your own on top. Keep track on a whiteboard or just out loud. The game itself only scores individual players.

  • Row vs. row: add up the top finishers from each side of the room for bragging rights.
  • Leaders vs. students: let the leaders join on their phones and see who comes out ahead.
  • Winner's-circle rematch: the top few from one game go head to head in the next while everyone else cheers.

Play Again starts a fresh game with a new PIN and scores reset to zero, so a rematch takes seconds.

A simple 20–30 minute game night

  1. Warm-up (5 minutes). Play one game on All Easy so everyone learns how it works.
  2. Main round (5 minutes). Switch to Mixed (Standard), or pick a theme that ties into your lesson.
  3. Talk it over (10 minutes). After each answer, the game shows the Bible reference. Pick one or two questions the room missed and read the verse together.
  4. Rematch (5 minutes). Play one more round on All Difficult, or as a winner's-circle rematch, and finish with the winner.

Set it up in 3 steps

  1. On the home page, tap Group Game, then choose a category and difficulty.
  2. Show the PIN or QR code. Students join on their phones and type a display name.
  3. When everyone's name shows in the lobby, tap Start Game.
