Bible Trivia for Families
Family game night doesn't need a board, cards or a box of pieces. With Bible Trivia Live, the questions go up on the TV, everyone answers from a phone or tablet, and the game keeps score for you. It's free and takes about ten minutes, so it fits in after dinner on a school night.
Different ages, one game
In most families, the youngest reader and the grown-ups play at very different levels. Start on All Easy so younger kids can answer on their own and enjoy getting some right. Every question gives two chances, so a wrong first guess isn't the end. As the kids grow more confident, move up to Mixed (Standard), and save All Difficult for the night when the adults want a challenge.
Everyone on their own device
Each person joins with their own phone or tablet and their own name, so everyone has their own score on the board. Family tablets work fine. Just open the link in the browser. Use the TV as the big screen if you can, so everyone looks up at the same questions together instead of down at their own device.
Helping the youngest players
A child who can't yet read quickly can still play with a little help. Read each question out loud, so non-readers know what's being asked. An older sibling or a parent can sit beside a younger child and help them think it through. They're helping, not answering for them: the child still taps their own answer. Take turns being the helper from week to week. You decide these house rules together; the game itself simply counts each player's own answers.
Making it a family tradition
Small habits turn a game into a tradition. Pick a regular night, like Sunday dinner or Friday pizza. Let the winner choose next week's category or theme. Keep a simple running tally on the fridge. After the game, pick the question everyone found hardest and read the passage it comes from together. It's a short, natural way to open the Bible as a family.
Set it up in 3 steps

- Connect a laptop to the TV and open the big screen there, or set the laptop where everyone can see it.
- Have each person join with their own device and name, then start the game.
