Bible Trivia Live

Instructions

How to Play

One device hosts, everyone else plays from their phone — that's all you need. A big screen is optional, and a whole game takes about five minutes.

Hosting a game

1

On the home page, tap Group Game, pick a category and difficulty, then tap Create Game.

2

Share the big PIN or let players scan the QR code. Names appear in the lobby as people join.

3

When everyone's in, tap Start Game. A five-second "Get ready" countdown gives players time to pick up their phones.

Only the device that created the game can start, pause, skip, or end it — keep that phone or tablet with you.

Playing from your phone

1

On the home page, tap Join a Game under "Have a PIN?", enter the PIN, and choose a display name. (Scanning the host's QR code works too.)

2

Wait in the lobby — the game starts as soon as the host taps Start.

3

Each question gives you 15 seconds and up to 2 tries. Faster correct answers earn more points; a second try earns about half.

Lose connection or close the page? Just open the link again — you'll come back with your name and score intact, and you can still answer with whatever time is left.

Practicing on your own

For a new game, choose Group Game and Single Player. Tap Single Player to play a full game by yourself on one phone — the same 15-second questions, two tries per question, speed bonus and final score as a live game. No PIN or lobby: just pick a category and difficulty and go.

Ten questions per game, and the pacing runs itself — no need to tap anything between questions unless you want to.

Scoring & winning

  • Correct on the first try: full points plus a speed bonus.
  • Correct on the second try: about half points.
  • Time runs out: 0 points, and the game moves on.
  • Tied players share the same place on the leaderboard.

After the last question, the winner is announced on the host's device (and on the big screen too, if you're using one). Tap Play Again to start a fresh game with a new PIN.

High scores

The best ten scores make the public high-score board. When a game ends and your score is one of them, a name box and an Add button appear — it's optional, so skip it and nothing is saved.

Tournaments don't need to ask. When the Championship Final ends, that tournament's best ten scores are added automatically under the tournament's own name.

The board is on the home page under High scores, showing each entry's name, score, game type, Bible category and difficulty, with filters for Single Player, Group Game and Tournament. The score is recorded by the game itself, so it can't be faked, and each result can only be added once.

Host controls

Pause — freezes every timer Skip — ends the question, no penalty End — jumps straight to results Remove — drops a player from the game Play Again — new PIN, fresh scores PIN & QR — shown on every lobby

Late arrivals can join between questions and start at zero. If someone joins while a question is live, they're held on the name screen until it ends.

Optional: putting it on a big screen

Everything above works with phones alone — this part is just a nice extra. If you have a TV or projector, tap Open big screen from the host lobby (or open the same link on any laptop plugged into one). The display shows the PIN and QR code in the lobby, then each question with a countdown, the correct answer with its verse, and the leaderboard between questions — all automatically.

Casting the big screen is up to you — plenty of games run great with just the host's phone and everyone else's phones.
